As an Integrated Planning Specialist, you will be involved in creating plans based on evidence-driven insight, providing advice on the state of the water environment - both internally & externally. Where you will work 

The Integrated Environment Planning team has a pivotal role in collating, analysing and sharing data to produce evidence that informs and drives area priorities. The team includes Specialists and Officers who focus on water resources, water quality and Water Framework Directive activities

Our Welwyn Garden City base location has a hybrid model allowing individuals to work either at home or at our office (a minimum number of days in the office per week will be agreed with your line manager and will be dependent on business needs and reviewed periodically).

What do you need:

You will be qualified to at least degree standard (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline or have significant relevant experience from a workplace that can be applied in this role.

Expected skills and experience include: 

• Good knowledge and understanding of current and future environment issues and challenges

• Experience working with a wide variety of stakeholders

• Basic project management skills

• An ability to work in a high workload, high pressure environment

• Effective influencing and negotiation skills 

• Portraying complex information for a wide audience/range of audiences to comprehend

• An ability to communicate to a wide range of audiences and excellent customer service skills

• A flexible, positive approach and a proven ability to achieve results 

• An ability to effectively train and coach others
