London is the headquarters of Glencore’s oil business, which includes Glencore Energy UK that engages in the trading of various oil and gas products. Glencore’s Oil division has upstream, mid-stream and downstream investments which are managed out of London.
This role will be focused on Business Projects and Energy & Climate Change, to support our portfolio of Assets in South Africa and Brazil.
This role will report to the Asset Manager & Climate Lead (Oil Assets).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Asset Managers on projects and initiatives encapsulating all key strategic areas of the underlying assets
- Support on future M&A transactions and integration streams
- Prepare the Corporate reporting requirements covering the following:

Glencore Group Head of Industrial Assets reporting

Oil Assets Strategy Pack
-
Life of Assets and Business Plans
-
Other ad-hoc additional corporate reporting requirements

Work closely with the Climate lead on various initiatives including but not limited to:
- Analyse Greenhouse Gas (“GHG”) emission reduction opportunities, and develop resulting consolidated Departmental reports including preparation of various presentations as required by Headquarters (using tools such as marginal abatement costs curves (MACCs) etc.)
- Development of departmental processes for the routine monitoring and aggregation of asset-level GHG performance
- Energy and emissions management plans
- Climate change risk assessments
The ideal candidate:
- Experience (required)

5 Years’ + post qualification experience ideally working in Transactional Services or Audit with commercial experience.

Relevant finance qualification (e.g. ACA or equivalent professional qualification)

Proven track records of analysing data and creating business reports

Proven track record of using Microsoft office including Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
-
Proven track record of reporting to senior stakeholders
-
Interest in Energy and Climate Change
-
Flexibility to travel overseas (~1 week per quarter)
